            <p><anchor xml:id="a"/><note resp="#KG" place="bottom">Black, Parbury &amp; Allen were
                publishers of the <ref type="publication"><title>Asiatic Journal</title></ref> and
                other publications focusing on British interests in India. For reasons perfectly
                obvious, this letter is written <ref target="1815-12-16-frGilchristToBPA.html">on
                  the verso</ref> of a letter from <ref target="whoswho.html#GilchristJB">John
                  Borthwick Gilchrist</ref> asking Hone to collect 50 copies of his pamphlet for
                resale in his shop. <ref target="#a">[return]</ref></note> At the request of <ref
                target="whoswho.html#GilchristJB">D. Gilchrist</ref> I hand you the enclosed Letter
              agreeably to which please to deliver 50 Copies of <ref type="publication">his Pamphlet
                on Reform</ref> and say in writing the retail Trade Price&#8212;he having fixed the
              Selling Price at 4/6&#8212; </p>
